Education Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience
Job Requirements
- Three or more years of experience in business analysis and project management, including information technology business systems development, and systems integration projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
Functionss
- Works closely with sponsor and subject matter experts to determine and document vision, scope, deliverables and key success indicators of assigned projects. Ensures that the baseline scope, cost and schedule for projects are agreed upon and understood.
- Coordinates the development of business requirements. Provides analysis in the design and implementation of new or improved processes, systems, and programs to achieve business goals. Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate business needs of stakeholders.
- Acts as the leader, spokesperson and primary contact for project activities and the project team. Plans, organizes, and conducts project meetings. Manages Stakeholder expectations and facilitates team development and conflict resolution.
- Monitors project performance and manages resource allocation to ensure adherence to project schedules. Manages the workflow of project tasks on assigned projects. Ensures project design, development and implementation phases are completed on time and within budget.
- Develops and maintains project status reports with input from team members. Presents progress reports to key stakeholders, including management. Provides project documentation, obtains approval and tracks all changes to project parameters. Maintains project plans and all project documents in a project library.
- Works with project team to ensure compliance considerations are built into project work and concerns reported as required.
- Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and systems. Facilitate process mapping, improvement, optimization, and maintenance of Association business processes and procedures.
- Conducts change impact and data analyses to assess dependencies and potential change implications for management decision-making.
- Manages active projects, compile project reports, and assist with maintaining and maturing the Project Management Offices’ project management methodology. .
- Finds and works with management to remove roadblocks and distractions to maintain focus on project and business objectives.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of project management, process improvement, business analysis concepts and principles.
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Visio).
- Ability to work on projects under minimum supervision.
- Skill in verbal and written communications.
- Ability to communicate information to a non-technical audience.
- Knowledge of human relations, team building, and motivation.
- Skill in stakeholder management, team building, and group dynamics navigation.
- Skill in time management and managing multiple project deliverables under tight deadlines.
